October 1st Ban list Thread

So guys, our current list ends on September 30th so since that's in 27 days as of this post I figured we'd start chatting what we see being hit come October 1st.

Banned Cards:
None
~Reason: This format has really just began with the release of DUEA and really hasn't been to lopsided, decks like Satellar, Burning Abyss, and Shadoll are currently topping most but there are other good tier 2 decks out there that are keeping the format balanced so no real big cards that scream "I'M OP PLEASE BAN ME

Limited:
Supply Squad (New)
~Reason, the decks that run it use it as a free +1 or more, free +1 cards are always cards Konami hunts for so Supply might be one of them.

Glow-Up Bulb (Was Forbidden)
~Reason, Konami is slowly bringing back a decent amount of banned cards one format at a time, I feel with how the meta and decks are today, Glow-Up can be the next card on that list.

Semi-Limited:
Soul Charge (New)
~Reason: Really most decks run this card at 1-2 is still game changing but just being able to take away the chance of a 3/40 chance of getting it is a bit better then having everyone run it at 3.

Gladiator Beast Bestiari
~Reason, Glads are no longer the major powerhouse they use to be and having one more of this card really won't change that to make it a tier 1 powerhouse like it use to be.

No Longer on List
Reasoning (Was Semi-Limited)
~Reason, really I don't see this happening but it's a card on the list that doesn't see any play anymore so getting it off of the list couldn't hurt anyone.


Here's my list, what do you guys think, honestly don't see most of these coming their just what I observe and feel like could be a thing. #NoFreeingStratos

I feel like two Soul Charges is still pretty overpowered and just gives an unfair edge to the player. I've seen people, many times, who use Soul Charge to get back their biggest monsters, then have them destroyed again only for them to return te next turn. Life point cost or not, the player who uses it is still able to deal damage with cards like Cowboy. I feel like they SHOULD limit it, but chances are they won't..

No glow-up bulb please. That was dumb. Here is what I would do (although probably most of it won't happen due to decks being too new and the like).

Even though I play Shaddolls.. That seems like a good idea. 90% of the time I side out Hedge anyways.

Why not side out Squamata...He's the most useless one.

I agree with you up until the part about Cowboy xD Cowboy is run at 1 usually anyway, let the nubs be able to play 2+

Really don't think they'll ban either of those cards at the current moment. Sure Solemn maybe cause they're trying to hype Pendulum summoning and all but really -2000 to stop one summon isn't that bad for either side. Hands are not getting hit, they've become pratically just a side engine since HAT became tier 2 and Satella and Shadolls aren't going to get wrecked when Konami is still dumping out cards to make them better so Altair, Hedge and Beast won't get hit until next list at the earliest. 9-Volt would make me cry to see on the list but I can see it . Other then those I agree 100% with the rest of your list.

To regurgitate what I just said, I don't think most of this will happen. That is the most fair list I could think of on a momen'ts notice (also ban BLS). What's probably going to happen? Burning abyss, shaddolls, batterymen, and satellars will be untouched, soul charge will probably be limited, fire/ice hand will be at two. Aside from this last ban list it has been a pretty consistent thing for konami to hit mermails, so I think they will hit it in some way, however the way they hit it is very up for debate because it is such a combo based deck that there are so many cards they can hit. My list was not a prediction, rather it was what I think was the most fair to balance out the meta.

I havnt seen mermails in a long ass time (YES!) why would they hit mermails?

Right? Like Mermails are tier 2 at best, Winda crushes them, and almost any meta deck can make a key out to them.

Some of these are just an idea but others are just what i'd love to see

Honestly there isn't anything ban worthy at the moment

Limited:

Artifact Sanctum(No draw backs to having it in your deck and is a main part in the artifact engine which is being splashed into 99% of decks need I say more)

Dark Magician Of Chaos(Cause why not am I right)
Glow-Up Bulb(Seriously needs to come back even with a once per duel condition it's still banned)
Lonefire Blossom(If bulb were to come back then I would honestly see this getting hit for some reason but it helps with sylvans so ehh)
Madolche Messengelato(The only card I see worth hitting in madolches for certain reasons)
Eclipse Wyvern
Shaddoll Hedgehog

Semi-Limited:

Compulsory Evacuation Device(Best chainable trap right here and if shaddolls ever get to be a problem in the future I could see this coming off)

Legendary Six Samurai-Shi En(Deck in my opinion needs some love and even with 2 rota I don't see them making much of an impact so why not)

A minor correction, Spirit was out for a little while before getting hit, you're thinking of Rooster which in the OCG is what was hit, for us it was Spirit.

Even with Wolfbark and Spirit at 3, I don't think Fire Fist can come back this or next format.

They both give very similar loops such as altair and deneb, which aren't doing anything right?... Oh wait they are tier 1. Loops that generate a +2 or potential +3 you can use each turn for 3 turns is a bit ridiculous. Fire Fist with wolfbark at 3 was better than Mermails with gunde at 3, both were devastating, fire fist was even better than that. If mermails can survive for the greater portion of 2 years, I am almost certain if they bring a deck back to a state better than how mermails were before their most recent nerf... well its going to tier. They can easily come back with 3 wolfbark or 3 spirit. Both... I don't know if people would do the 3.5 axis fire fist with both at 3, it would be interesting though.

Sorry I wasn't sure if it was spirit or rooster I knew one of the lvl 3's was hit when it came out to tcg

But I think with these changes fire fist could come back as probably a strong tier 2 deck but it would be nice for some decks to get the love they need

Fire Fists had their time in the Meta. Konami isn't going to let them off the hook so early on.
