PostSubject: Feyblue's Study   Tue Apr 01, 2014 7:21 pm

The door before you is somewhat different from the others in the hall. Located off in a far corner past the rest of the rooms of the dormitory, as though hastily converted to living space to accommodate an unexpected guest, it doesn't strike one as the outside of a bedroom, persay, so much as the entrance to a glorified storage room or closet. Nevertheless, the door opens smoothly with nary a creak, the only sound the swishing of the emerald-colored carpet beneath it as the portal slides gently open.

The first thing to meet the eye of any entrant is quite simple: books. Scattered across many shelves along the walls, they further enhance the room's image as a repository, as a bed is nowhere to be found. With only one window, positioned on the back wall, and the only furnishings being a simple desk at the very center of the stacks of disordered literature scattered around the rest of the area, its occupant seems highlighted by the light streaming in behind him, and yet simultaneously buried amidst the clutter around him.

The young man, although tall, is rendered insignificant by his wild surroundings. Matted, mid-length black hair hangs carelessly down across the bridge of his nose as dark eyes peer curiously up at you, the circles beneath them seeming several years older than the face they adorn. His appearance is disheveled, tired, and yet oddly focused - not on the world around him, or the chaos that is his room, but on something within, an image only he can see. And yet, that paradoxically inattentive focus shatters the moment you step into his room, his attentions crashing immediately back to earth and centering on yourself. A faint glimmer leaves his eye as he sets down the deck of cards in his hands, and nods for you to come in.

"Welcome. I would offer you a seat, but as you can see, my room's in poor condition for accommodating guests at the moment. Nevertheless, if there's anything I can help you with..." He says quietly, trailing off as though asking you to explain why you've come.

(So, yeah, I'm something of an author by hobby, so seeing the opportunity to write up something over the top like this, I couldn't pass it up. Respond in kind if you like, or don't if you prefer not to. In any case, it's a pleasure to meet you all as fellow yellows - ooh, a rhyme! - and I hope to get the chance to test my skills against you soon.)

If you like it, you can read a few of my other works online. I would give you a link, but it seems I'm not allowed to until seven days after I've registered. Just search for "AMimsyBorogove" on the site "Fictionpress." I should be the only one. As of yet, all I have up there is just a short story and a novel I'm only a few chapters into, but if you're interested, I'd love to hear what you think of them.

Lol Well my biggest concern is is whether I will know what the words mean. I'll try to read it though when I have the time, and I'll be sure to post opinion! Smile

I have not yet finished reading, but im on the 5th paragraph. and I just had a question. Why didn't the machine notice the homunculi? If her hair was white and glowing, shouldn't it of been able to spot her? Other then that, amazing so far! Very Happy

Well here is my input.... AMAZING! Other then that other thing there was only one thing I didn't like. There wasn't really any detail in the "Dawn Haven". Other then that though, the idea and/or story felt very original. The fight was fun to read, the conversations were fun to read, the characters were cool, and it made me think "what's next?" I'm sure other people have different opinions, but awesome job!

Maybe its already there, maybe its not (haven't had time to check it really) but if you make a 2nd part, can you tell me? I would love to read it!

Yeah, currently in the process of writing a novel about the Wastewalkers-verse, although it's only a few chapters in, and Canon won't actually appear until the second half. And, since I haven't had time to edit it yet, I haven't put it up on Fictionpress quite yet.

As for why it didn't notice them, they were kinda hiding until it left, and the vision I had for the Reapers was as seeing more through Animus than actual vision anyway, sort of like a form of Echolocation.

Anyway, I'm really glad you liked it. Thanks for the feedback. :3

No problem. Enjoyed reading it. But because of that I got off the computer pretty late. XD
